    Description

    Up for auction at the Grand Antique Mall located in Cincinnati, Ohio is an
    Antique, K.Zildjian & Cie Constantinople Orchestra Cymbal with two original handwritten signatures: one is  etched in acid under the bell (where one can see what appears to be residue from an original paper label), and the other signature is written on the opposite side of the cymbal.
    Beneath both signatures are the numbers (1)943-13. One can see residue from the original paper label. Pre-1920. Handcrafted in Constantinople, Turkey. Free from cracks and damage.
    Old “Ks” are considered the finest cymbals in the world, often referred to as the holy grail.
    Note:  When Turkey won its independence in 1923,  Constantinople was changed to Istanbul. This is yet another way to date K.Zildjian & Cie Constantinople cymbals.
